AME-CW50 is formed by a large range of mullions and transoms with a common measure of 50 mm wide. This provides a variety of complete solutions to the different aesthetic and constructive needs of the architectural projects. This system allows façades in four main different aspects: AME-CW 50 T (traditional grid), AME-CW 50 SG (only glass aesthetics), AME-CW 50 H (horizontal grid) and AME-CW 50 V (vertical grid). The SG option minimizes the presence of profiles in the façade generating the sensation of lightness. Horizontal and Vertical options confer the façade a very pronounced aesthetic with a wide range of cover caps that can be adapted to each project. The structure or reticule is formed by a group of profiles, vertical mullions and horizontal transoms, united between themselves by funnel type aluminium fixed stops or auto-blocking closings. The union between mullion and transom it is performed by a penetrating system that guarantees a total water tightness, a perfect drainage and a complete evacuation towards the exterior. This union disposes of expansion joints in both sides. This system is mainly composed by aluminium profiles extruded in an AW-6063 alloy. These profiles are subjected to a T5 thermal treatment in order to obtain its mechanical properties. Some profiles are extruded in AW-6005A T6 in order to obtain higher performances, especially in brackets and small aluminium parts.
